Well my car is a 1969 Camaro. In my opinion the last real year of Camaro.
The story on the car is my father purched it in the mid 70's and street raced it around my hometown. He probably raced it until about 1983-84 when it got parked in the back yard. Many, many offers from others to buy the car and he always said, "hat is my youngest boys car so ask him." I was born in 1978 so you know where that went. In 1992, when I was 14, we pulled it in the shop and I started to disassemble it. Being a young, energenic buck I worked on it in all my spare time. Disassembling all the interior and body, while placing all the parts in labled, plastic bags.
We hung new inner and outer quarter panels, fixed the doors, blasted the firewall and inner front fenders. Pretty much got the car in to primer. Well now I am getting a little older and many of my interests have changed over to sports, girls, and friends so it kind of got pushed to the back burner.
When I became a senior in high school I was involved in an automotive class that allowed me to rebuild a SBC 350 to put in the car. So I got a running '72 motor and began work. It ended up having a cracked head so I found a set of 69 casting heads and reworked them. Put a 3-angle valve job on them and bolted them to the new short block that had been punched .030 over. Topped it off with a Holley high-rise intake and I had my motor.
Since then I have had to move the car out of the shop where it was worked on to a couple of different locations. And it has finally ended up back in it's first resting spot. In my fathers yard.
I would love to see the Camaro completed in a pro touring stance, with all modern suspension and drivetrain. I even think a small turbo may be nice some day. Stock intereior, and stock steelie wheels with dog dish hubcaps top off the dream. The wheels would have to be 18's or so though to get the look. Just a nice "stock" appearing Camaro, that really snorts.
I now have my own family and am looking at building my own shop and would love for this to be the first project completed in it. But we all know that a mortgage, a car payment, a family and everything else cost $$ so that is why I am asking for a sponsorship. At this time I have no photos but will try and get some in the near future.
I would like to thank you for you time and consideration. Thanks for reading. NICK
