1971 Chevelle Malibu

Purchased this car while i was in iraq, 1971 chevelle malibu. waited 5 months to see it when i got home. the car is in pretty good shape for as old as it is but it still has the same issues as any other car from those years, as in rusty floor pans, the trunk is rusted out, and just needing a little bit of body work, i have already purchased a whole new trunk kit, new floor pans, new ss hood, new window felt, and a few interior parts. it had a recently rebuilt 350 engine bored over to 355, i have all the papers for that engine it also had a few performance parts on it as in a holly 650 carb and eldebrock rpm intake on it, the transmission is a 350 turbo with a really nice shift kit in it, with a b and m, star rachet shifter. i recently took it too the drag strip and did not like my time at all on it, so i said screw this, im getting a 454. found one from my buddy for 200 dollers because they thought the engine was blown, tore the engine down and come to find out the only that that was wrong with this engine was one broken rocker arm and the head, and the inside of the engine looked beautiful, it had been recently rebuilt, me and my best friend then replaced the broken part, and ordered performance parts for it, a package deal of a eldebrock cam lifters, performer intake and eldebrock 750 electric choke carb. along with a jegs fuel pump at 80 gph, and new gasket sets, also we ordered full length dyno max headers for the big block, we pull the 350, had the 454 painted, cleaned, and dropped in the chevelle in about 20 hours of work, 15 in one day. my plans for my chevelle is to get a better rear end, maybe a 12 with better gears, or a ford 9 inch rear end. for drag racing, it has the crager ss wheels. chrome is a little faded on those though, right now the color is just primer black, but when i get all the stuff done too the engine and performance wise, we are going to throw a cheaper paint job on it, if i got sponsored i would definitly make this a show/drag racing car. i would get some custom interior work done , the body looking great with a nice paint job, a rear end job, few more upgrades too the 454, a fuel cell in the trunk along with the batter moved too the trunk, oh i forgot to mention, it already has the front disc break conversion kit also. my goal is for this to be a show car and at least pull those front wheels off the ground and run low 12s or 11s, maybe even better, wont be hard to get it there with that 454 already. im a mechanic in the unitited states army and just looking to have some fun with my dream car and show it at some shows and take it too some drag strips here in kansas this is my dream muscle car and has been for a long time and im just looking for some help to get it there. ive uploaded some photos of it on the chevelle gallery, thats the only way i figure out to upload pics, but the pic of the engine is with the 350, i now have the 454 in there, will get those on here soon
