I am restoring this Camaro because I just got out of the Army and I need something to do besides work and go to college. I bought the car in January of 2010. The motor has been completely stirpped down and rebuilt. I used Speed-Pro Hypereutectic Pistons, Scorpion Endurance Series Rocker Arms, COMP Cams Xtreme XE-R Camshaft, GM Performance Vortec Cylinder Heads, Eagle Cast Steel Crankshaft, Edelbrock Performer EPS Intake Manifold and Carburetor.
I am now working on the transmission. It is a TH350. I want to put a shift kit on it as of now. I haven't taken it apart yet to see the condition. Therefore, dependent upon the condition I will either rebuild this one with a shift kit or buy a new tranny.
The body is in decent condition. There are less than 6'' diameter holes (on each side) of the floorboards. The trunk is rusted out, but that is all the rust on the car. I have two of every piece of the body because the guy I bought it from stripped a 79 for parts.
I plan on restoring this car and would like help with the tranny and more performance engine parts. Also, I would like mechanical parts from the rear end to the braking system.
