Ok. I have a 1981 Pontiac Grand Prix with a 3.8L v6 that is in monderate condition. I paid $400 dolars for the car to help out a family freind who was hard up on needing money for their bills so i baught the car. I love the body style and the fact that its so hard to find one the same year down here in Florida. To my standards it a great car, but it runs like crap. It has 71120 miles, needs the full exaust hook up from the manifold to the rear bumper(there is nothing from the manifold back as far as where the cady converter is supposed to be, but after that there is a rusted out tail pipe.), it needs a tune up so bad that when you check the fluids in the car there either to high or to low(and thats checking them after the car has not ran for a couple of days, but still they fluxuate.), the headers definetely need to be change, a new distributor and altornator will be needed here soon, i don't know if the A/C even works because i dont have an A/C belt, it needs new spark plug wires, and spark plugs, a trunk lock with key, a new ignition switch installed(i baught a new one from advanced auto parts but have no clue on how to put it in so the car starts with a screw driver), new tires because when i got the car it had sat for 4 years straight with the occasional start, until the battery died and so it wasnt run for like 2 after that, the paint job is terrible, clear coat is almost all gone, i have a dent in the passenger door(nobody knows how it got there, but its more like a deap scratch about 2 1/2 feet long and about a 1/2 deep), there is a dent in the passenger left rear fender by the trunk. SO, now the good. yes i did pay $400 dolars for the car, i put a new battery in it and even though it sat for 2 years without running it fired right up, no problem. I also put on a new power stearing belt and replaced the fuel filter the rests inside the carburator. Also i replaced the metal fuel line that conects to the carburator and to the bottom of the engine casing because when we tried to take off the barburator to clean it, the fuel line rapped around it's self and broke off so i replaced it with a ruber hose, which took me forever to find the part that connects the hose to the carburator( like i said its hard to find a junked 1981 pontiac grand prix for little parts and autozone and advanced dont carry some of the parts, and i dont know where there is a napa near by me). Umm well i guess it needs breaks and the whole car fluid flushed, majorly. So ya if i could get a sponsership for racing the car or sound or looks, or anything, i'd be greatful. This is my fifth junker car, but ive just recently got my lisence, so i want this car to be my first car in my name and something im proud of. I come from a pour family, and i'm a cashier at a sweetbay. I dont have alot of money, cause of bills and all, but im not afraid or ashamed to say that i have no money to spare on the stupid things, but ive made it a priority to save my money just so i can by my 14 year old sister school close for the comming up school year, meaning i still wont have the money to fix my car up and get it legal to drive around. Well if you have any questions for me email me or call my apartment phone number(which at the moment is shut off cause even with 3 of us living here we still dont live the rich life) 727-857-4417 or lonestar_320@yahoo.com or Myspace.com/cajunm69. thank you for reading my description about my car even if i dont get a sponsership from this company, i can atleast say i got a chance to talk about my car.lol.
