Ive been sort of a car enthusiest and mechanic all my life,the first car i ever worked on was my dads 63 corvette stingray when i was a kid, my dads a car dealer, nothing big tho wed buy a car every few months and sell it, every time he bought a car ide work on it. To me a mans car is a reflection of himself, so when i got my buick the first thing i did was look for parts and different modifications that i could do to the car. Sadly the stock car is not at all a reflection of me, so the first thing i did when i bought it was think of the different modifications i could do to the car to make it more "me".
at stock my 98 came with all the bells and whistles
jasper green metallic paint
factory spoiler
all leather interior
concert II stereo system with steering wheel controls
alloy rims
4 wheel disk brakes
and a 3800 v6
the only downfall to the motor is that it is not the factory supercharged model
i bought the car from a buick service mechanic, because of this its in incredible shape
ive been able to change out all the speakers and replace them with a brand new set of pioneer speakers however i was forced to cut the wires on the tweeter speakers in the doors as 5 1/4 component door speakers are almost impossible to find without ordering offline
i have a brand new Dual sliding stereo ready to install in my garage as well
my mechanical and exterior plans are
new E3 diamond spark plugs
new dual exhaust
high flow intake manifold
new headers
a supercharger
paint the calipers, or possibly replace the brake system with slotted rotors and larger calipers
18 inch black and chrome rims and goodyear tires
a cold air intake system
and replace the oem spoiler as is has a slight crack in it
there are absolutely no body kits made for my car that i have found with the exception of one hood, as such i will have to keep the body mostly stock
and for the interior
Sound deadening mats to help the sound
5 1/4 component speakers so i can have my full speaker quality
Molded in rear door speakers
Change the rear 6X9 speaker grills out and use the custom lighted blue speaker grills
2 10 inch subwoofers in the trunk with a bandpass box ported through the backseat
and an ipod dock in the front compartment under the stereo
lastly for paint, i plan to do it myself, ill lay down black metallic paint along the bottom of the car under the trim to make it a two tone look like the black and grey two tone offered factory, then ill reblend the clear coats and make it look original,the new spoiler and mirrors will be painted metallic black as well to match, small amounts of body filler and bodywork will be required to fix the few small dents on the car
