i have the slowest civic ever and i would like it to go faster. right now its stock and slow so can and one help me out?

i went ridin the other night and i pulled up next to a new ford f-150 (very nice) and the light turned green and we went all i can say is wow. i stayed with him and he beat me by a bumper.
