About me: Ralph E Stenger Jr
Born 1/27/52 in Arcadia, FL started elementary school in 58 at Parrish, FL and went to high school at Southeast High in Bradenton and graduated in 70. I worked with my Dad until going into the Army in June of 72. I attended 2 military schools and was selected as the distinguished graduate in both classes for my accomplishments. Then I was headed to Germany to do my job for the Army. I not only did my job but I had the willingness to do and to accept other jobs that were giving to me by my supervisors. And had developed the image of, “The man who can get the job done”. I received many letters of Commendation and Appreciation for the work that I had accomplished wile in the Army.
About my racing.
In 1973 I won my first race in Germany when I was in the Army. I was racing a VW on a dirt track. Upon getting out of the Army I came home and started drag racing and started winning races. In 1979 I moved into some stock car racing. After a few 3rd place finished and a good number of crashes I felt it was too much for me to finance. I continued to drag race until 1987. At that time I had other duties to take care of. I started back racing in 1998 and won a major bracket-racing event at Atlanta Dragway in 2000. I also won the track championship at DeSoto Dragstrip in 2000. In 2006 I stepped up to the faster classes and started racing some IHRA divisional races. I got runner-up in the first race. I finished 5th in points for the yr. 2009 I have been running a new class (5.50 index) at Sunshine Dragstrip in Clearwater, FL. I have been the points leader all yr and it will be a fight in the last race for me to get the championship for 2009. I hope to continue to win races for yrs to come.

My goals for 2010
I would like to be able to race for a divisional championship again in NHRA and IHRA. This will consist of 12 weekend races as it was in 2009. This is their top sportsman class. The 2010 schedule is unknown at this time. This is their top sportsman class
Things that I need to do for 2010
I need a new larger (28ft – 30ft) trailer to carry extra promotional materials.
Cost $12–15,000. This will give someone a good 5’X10’ area for logo on 2 sides. This trailer will be towed to races and through cities in the south/east states of the US. Will be parked at restaurants, hotels, parking lots and racetracks. Seen by thousands of people going down interstates, highways and back roads across the states.
I need to give out promotional tee shirts at races. Tee shirt cost is $3-6,000 per 1000 shirts depending on layout of the print. I’m currently in the process of building a new engine to step-up (cost $10,000).
